Is there a better way to spend an hour than to sit by a bubbling brook with a drink and a good book?
Our backyard was lacking a brook, so I built a fair approximation of a small waterfall,
which disappears into a pool of smooth pebbles. At least the warbling of the falling water
has the right soothing effect. I must admit I am very proud of it.
A decent backyard must also have a place for a barbecue. Here is ours.
It is a circular mosaic of mexican pebbles, with a granite paver bench.
